Sunday mornings, from 8:45–9:45 AM, everyone aged two years and above is invited to plug into a class. For those aged 7th grade to adult, a few electives are usually available on a variety of meaty and encouraging topics. Learn about the SCBC Education Plan for a description of the scope and aims of our adult electives.
Current Adult Elective (beginning April 10, 2016):
Church History II
Step back in time to Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses to a church door in Wittenberg, Billy Graham holding his first rally, the beginnings of the Emergent Church, and all that came in between as we fly over the major milestones in church history from the Reformation to present day. Picking up where we left off last quarter, Pastor Mark will help us understand both the rich foundations of our modern church as well as the key challenges for its faithfulness today.
Kids in grades K-4 will be taught from the Answers Bible Curriculum, which covers the entire Bible chronologically and provides a thorough understanding of the authority and primary teachings of Scripture. All ages will be equipped to defend the Bible and become conformed to the image of Christ as they apply God’s Word to their lives. Concepts include the trustworthiness of Scripture, the attributes of God, His plan of redemption, apologetics, and more! 5th and 6th grades will continue using the Firm Foundations curriculum. Contact Rob Freeman for more info on these classes.
