Home Bible Studies

To delve more deeply into selected books of the Bible and enjoy more intimate fellowship with other believers, a SCBC Home Bible Study may be for you. Most quarters, we offer a study in Bellingham and/or Lynden. Each study requires some effort at home–on average 1-3 hours of time per week. The more people that are able to commit one evening a week, the more studies we will aim to offer.

Winter 2018 Home Bible Studies

Deuteronomy: What can God say to a nation with a record of not listening? On one hand, Deuteronomy tells the story of a nation-their history, their laws, their way of life, their hopes and dreams. On the other hand, and most importantly, it is the story of their God, Yahweh, the Creator of the universe, the One and Only. Come learn about this amazing God as Pastor Curtis leads us through a fascinating Old Testament book. Our North County Home Bible Study will meet at the Tylers’ on Thursdays at 7:00 (beginning January 18). Book cost is $7; sign up in foyer.

Mark: The coming of our Messiah is ground-breaking good news…a headline screaming for attention and demanding a response of allegiance and worship. But the sources also say this promised King of Israel will suffer and die in humiliation by the hands of those He came to save. How can this be? Come explore the true story of Christ’s birth, death, and resurrection in our Bellingham Home Bible Study in Mark this quarter, led by Scott Macdonald at the Breakeys’ house on Fridays at 7:00 (beginning January 19). Book cost is $7; sign up in foyer.
