Classes & Bible Studies
Most quarters, SCBC offers a Women’s Afternoon book study from 1:00-2:30 PM on Tuesdays. Free nursery care and a Good News Club are offered for your children during this time. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together with other ladies and learn from a solid book, the study leader, and one another.
Winter 2018 Women’s Morning: Feminine Appeal
We’ll examine what older women are to teach younger women from Titus 2:4-5 as we study Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney during our Women’s Morning class on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:00. Topics to be covered include loving one’s husband and children, purity, homemaking, kindness, submission, and self-control. Maureen B. will be leading and is eager to facilitate meaningful, cross-generational fellowship through discussion and hearing the experiences of older women (with Q&A). Book cost is $11; Sign up in foyer.
Keepers of the Faith
Keepers evenings are a springboard to whet your appetite for various applications of biblical girlhood skills. Mom, you can build on what is taught according to the particular needs of your daughter and in the context of your family. Keepers is an ideal time to be inspired to evaluate your goals for growing your daughter in godly girlhood. It also provides an opportunity to benefit from the strengths of other women in our body, formally and informally. Keepers meets the first Wednesday of the month throughout the school year, 6:00-8:00 PM. Girls ages six and up are invited to come with their moms. Ladies without daughters are also encouraged to attend!
Keepers will kick off their 2017-2018 season with a picnic at Pioneer Park October 4 at 4:00 PM. Future meetings will take place from 6:00-8:00 PM on November 1, December 6, February 7, March 7, and April 4. Watch the bulletin for more details on each event.
Mother/Teen Daughter Equipping
Many quarters, SCBC facilitates a class or special event specifically designed for mothers to attend with their teen daughters. Watch our quarterly brochures for info on future events.
