Women’s Ministries

Titus Two Saturdays

On select Saturday mornings throughout the school year, ladies 15 and older are invited to come hear speakers share God’s truth. Through these Scriptural insights, ladies are encouraged to grow in their divinely appointed roles. Titus Two meetings are enhanced by sweet fellowship – what a wonderful time for maturing together in Christlikeness! We also often enjoy testimonies, and participate in Table Talk discussions, a personal time to share applicable insights from the day’s teaching and prayer in a small group.

Titus Two will begin a new theme, “Then Sings My Soul,” this year. Meeting dates are September 24, October 29, November 19, January 28, and February 25 at 9:00 AM.

Classes & Bible Studies

Most quarters, SCBC offers a Women’s Afternoon book study from 1:00-2:30 PM on Tuesdays. Free nursery care and a Good News Club are offered for your children during this time. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together with other ladies and learn from a solid book, the study leader, and one another.

This fall, our ladies can take in Elisabeth Elliot’s book, Discipline: The Glad Surrender, on Tuesdays at 1:00 PM beginning September 20. Find more info in our quarterly brochure.

Becoming a Life-Giving Wife

We offer regular opportunities for ladies to focus on growing their marriages in Christ-likeness. This fall, Maureen Balvanz will encourage your hearts with a seven-week class on “Becoming a Life-Giving Wife.” Whether a newlywed or an empty-nester, going through happy or hard times in your marriage right now, this class is for you! Using a wide variety of resources, we will cover topics such as prayer,
affirmation, submission, companionship, intimacy, and forgiveness, and be reminded that doing/being all these things flows out of our identity in Christ and is only accomplished through His enabling grace. This class meets Tuesdays at 7:00 PM and begins September 13. Assignments will take 1-2 hours weekly and class time will include teaching, discussion and reading. Cost: $5.

Keepers of the Faith

Keepers evenings are a springboard to whet your appetite for various applications of biblical girlhood skills. Mom, you can build on what is taught according to the particular needs of your daughter and in the context of your family. Keepers is an ideal time to be inspired to evaluate your goals for growing your daughter in godly girlhood. It also provides an opportunity to benefit from the strengths of other women in our body, formally and informally. Keepers meets the first Wednesday of the month throughout the school year, 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Girls ages six and up are invited to come with their moms. Ladies without daughters are also encouraged to attend!

Keepers will meet this fall on September 21 (with Contenders), October 5, November 2, and December 7. Watch our Announcements page for more details on each meeting!

Mother/Teen Daughter Equipping

Many quarters, SCBC facilitates a class or special event specifically designed for mothers to attend with their teen daughters. Watch our quarterly brochures for info on future events.
