Women's Ministries Women Teaching Women: Honoring the Word
With just a Word, God spoke into being all of creation, a call from darkness to light that still echoes in the hearts of us, His new creations in Christ. This quarter, walk verse-by-verse with us through Genesis 1-11 using Jen Wilkin’s “God of Creation” study. We’ll uncover a deeper richness in familiar texts and practically connect them back to the over-arching story of redemption, fueling our worship of God! Annie V. leads this class Tuesdays at 9:30 (beginning 4/16). Childcare provided. Book cost is $15; register here.
In a world full of anxieties, discouragements, and despair, is it possible to have “Hope...No Matter What”? Come be refreshed by the truths of Romans 15:13 and the grace of our hope-giving God as we welcome Teresa Rinker of Healing Hearts Ministries May 11 at 9:00 AM. We’ll take in a sweet morning together of teaching from Teresa, breakfast, and fellowship with other sisters as together we fix our eyes on Christ and His transforming work in our hearts. No cost, but please sign up in the foyer.
Classes & Bible Studies
Most quarters, SCBC offers a women’s morning or afternoon book study on Tuesdays. Free nursery care and a Good News Club are offered for your children during this time. We also periodically offer a Discipleship Hour class targeted towards women, such as a book/Bible study or Biblical Womanhood course. These are all wonderful opportunities to come together with other ladies and learn from solid teaching material, the study leader, and one another.
We offer ladies numerous opportunities to gather throughout the year for fellowship events, mother-daughter equipping, retreats, and more. Watch this page for upcoming dates!
