October 31, 2017 marks 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenburg, a powerful spark to one of the greatest movements of spiritual reform the church has ever seen. Starting October 8, we’ll take in a four-part sermon series covering some of the vital doctrines clarified by the Reformers, doctrines that have transformed our understanding of salvation and the church as we know it. In an age of continuing confusion and watering down of truth, we hope these weeks of teaching will equip you to be a Reformer in your own right wherever God may lead you in coming years. May we be semper reformanda–always reforming!
Also, mark your calendars for our special “Rejoicing in the Reformation” dessert on October 30 at 7:00 PM, where we’ll hear from Dr. David Steele (pastor of Christ Fellowship in Everson and author of Bold Reformer; Celebrating the Gospel-Centered Convictions of Martin Luther). All ages welcome, though please note there is no nursery care provided.
